HAND REJUVENATION
HAND REJUVENATION
WHAT IS HAND REJUVENATION?
Cosmetic hand rejuvenation treatments help to smooth, strengthen, and beautify the skin on the backs of our hands. The backs of our hands receive more sun exposure than most other parts of our body, which causes the skin to age more rapidly. Signs of aging appear on the hands in various ways, including:
- Thinning skin
- Volume loss
- Reduced skin elasticity
- Increased exposure of veins and tendons
Dr. Gujjar’s hand rejuvenation protocols often involve multiple techniques and procedures. Strategically combining complementary treatments allows Dr. Gujjar to restore volume, improve the quality and texture of the skin, reduce wrinkles, and minimize the appearance of veins and tendons that cause our hands to look aged.

HOW DOES HAND REJUVENATION WITH FILLERS WORK?
WHAT IS HAND REJUVENATION WITH FILLERS?
- Filling wrinkles
- Minimizing the appearance of veins and tendons
- Replacing lost volume
- Smoothing out crepey skin
- Stimulating collagen production for long-term improvements in skin texture
The Original MicroNeedling
The original microneedling treatment involves using fine, sterile needles to create tiny micro-injuries in the skin's surface. This process stimulates collagen production, improving skin texture, and reducing scars and wrinkles.PRP Microneedling
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) microneedling combines traditional microneedling with the application of PRP from your blood. The growth factors in PRP enhance the skin's healing and rejuvenation, making it effective for scars, fine lines, and overall skin renewal.Radio Frequency Microneedling
Radio Frequency (RF) microneedling blends traditional microneedling with RF energy. The controlled thermal energy from the RF promotes collagen production and tightens the skin, offering significant improvement in skin texture and sagging.
HAND REJUVENATION WITH FILLERS:
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT
Dr. Gujjar performs hand rejuvenation treatments with fillers at his Pali Hill medical practice. This quick procedure is minimally invasive and well-tolerated by the majority of patients.
First, Dr. Gujjar will carefully identify the ideal injection sites. Then, he uses a blunt-tipped cannula to deliver the filler. The cannula glides easily beneath the skin and under the blood vessels as Dr. Gujjar strategically injects tiny aliquots of filler in the area between the knuckles and the wrist.
Injecting fillers with a needle is more commonplace than using a cannula. However, Dr. Gujjar has found that using a cannula instead of a needle helps to reduce pain and minimize swelling and bruising post-treatment.
Most patients experience a pinching sensation or mild discomfort during the injections. For others, the treatment can be moderately painful. To help alleviate pain, Dr. Gujjar combines the filler with lidocaine. Lidocaine is an anaesthetic that numbs the area once injected.
To ensure even distribution throughout the treated area, Dr. Gujjar lightly massages the filler once it is injected. Adding lidocaine to the filler gives the solution a thinner, more viscous consistency, which makes it easier for Dr. Gujjar to massage the product across the back of the hands for the most aesthetic, natural-looking results.
During the post-injection massage, Dr. Gujjar uses a “tenting” technique, in which he pinches the skin upwards. This method allows Dr. Gujjar to target specific low-volume areas safely and effectively. Warming up the hands immediately after treatment also helps to achieve optimal distribution of the filler.
